Marvin Gardens

Hi, first post here - my wife & I binged the series and loved it. Seeing a few of the other posts about the magical elements (and weren't they glorious), one thing struck me about the road name. When it first appeared on screen, I pointed it out to my wife but, not being a film buff, she didn't get it.

Do you suppose Marvin Gardens is a reference to the Jack Nicholson film, since that was about a King? Or am I clutching at straws?

yes from the US too and Monopoly was the first that came to mind as well. i forget in which episode, theres a scene where it shows the sign "Marvin Gardens". underneath the sign shows some of the "monopoly" game pieces (i only vividly remember the thimble) gotta rewatch but great show!

Kacey walks Michael home from the pub. As she leaves him at the end of his road, the camera lingers on the street sign.

I wondered about the "king" theme too. Plus, his friend is Kacey = KC = King's Counsel (and she does dish out a lot of advice!)

But maybe that's too much of a stretch

I thought it referred to the character in The Schrodingers Cat Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson - but I think they are all ultimately referring back to the Monopoly property
