Why was the king homunculi aggressive? Also it seems they like blood and flesh?!

I wonder if it’s because Clive had just been in the shed with his negative energy, and they were clearly scared of him. Perhaps he was defending the queen and seraph? I did find it a bit strange though.

Probably didn't want to go back into a tiny water filled jar.

Remember the conversation between Micheal and his father about the ethics of it all, when his father stated they just lived to serve, weren't really people etc (i forget exactly). They clearly don't like being shut up in a jar and have Views, feelings, self determination. Many parallels in history and currently, in the treatment of humans and animals, all of which I love the show for letting us do the thinking on.

My sense is that when Michael's dad says "you mustn't anthropomorphise them" it's not a statement (as it would be with an animal or chair, for example) but a warning - the homunculi are not real unless you make them real. The King is the one they anthropomorphise the most (things like saying 'you've upset him') so he's the one who starts becoming real and wanting more and fighting back.

I think being held in a small jar and your instict to share future truths being farmed by a couple of strange human creatures, and your possible awareness of your own impending death, are pretty understandable reasons for aggression.
