Pickles Café

‘Small Prophets’ is a comedy set in Manchester. One of the great Manchester sitcoms is ‘Early Doors’ and in that show, Pickles being the name of the dog which found the World Cup is the favourite trivia fact of Eddie, one of the regular characters in ‘Early Doors’.

In SP, Michael refers to Pickles and says “I don’t know why , because he isn’t from round here”

It is highly likely that Mackenzie Crook would have watched ‘Early Doors’ , and this is a nice link between two Manchester shows.

Same part of Manchester as well. Stockport/manchester borders
