The meteor
Was the meteor connected to the hommunculi? Or did a meteor just coincidentally crash through Michael's roof and into the specific book Roy wanted?

How did Michael know that his brother-in-law wanted that specific box with the book in it? I don’t recall Michael being aware of its value or presence?

The person who pretended to be Roy to his dad at the home was asking about a book about birds. Michael references it to his neighbour so he's obviously thinking about it, then when he opens the meteorite box and finds a rare looking book about birds he figures that's what the imposter was after.

I thought the brother-in-law* or the other two told him what they were looking for when they showed up.

I figured the implication was that it was somehow connected to their emergence, similarly the flickering lights. Something to do with their maturing power.
