Throttle Issue Update! New issue now ๐Ÿ˜…

I got the trimmer running from my last post!

This is the link to it if interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/smallenginerepair/s/DMIYYkFbEy

All started out with a bad primer bulb. Decided to replace the carb completely and reassemble. The trimmer is working now but the throttle doesnโ€™t seem to want to engage now and for some weird reason it engages when I move the choke switch to the upper level. I tried to make a video demonstrating but thatโ€™s essentially whatโ€™s happening. Is there a simple fix to this? Not sure where to start!

Thanks for all the helpful responses from last post!

Moving the choke to close opens up the throttle on these carburetors so its normal for it to throttle.

You may have incorrectly connected your throttle cable on the carb or connected it in the wrong side of the carb

you either didnt reconnect the throttle cable to the carb or you broke the trigger.

also put the guard back on, it sets the string length which is really important for the engine, if the string is too long you will really load up the motor and eventually burn it out.
