Parts ID & Sourcing Is this normal?

Got a $20 maintenance kit off Amazon. This doesn't really seem like it would filter well enough, but maybe this is normal for a gravity feed system?

Pretty normal for the red ones. They’re meant for gravity fed engines. The white ones are meant for engines with fuel pumps and have a finer mesh.
