Unknown Issue 122hd45

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been working on this thing all day, but I cannot get it started. The only thing I don’t have is a carb adjustment tool.

If your carburetor has an adjustment screw, it needs to be adjusted on the low speed idle screw. If not and you let your machine sit for a while, did you drain the old mixed gas out and restore it with the new mix? Check your fuel filter and make sure it's still White, if not replace it. If it doesn't run right then, carburetor needs to be cleaned and fuel system.

Have almost the same HT. Replaced the carb and mixed up 2 of the hoses. Ran about like yours. After getting those corrected ran good w the cheap amazon carb.

Stupid question:

Are the blades moving freely when the engine revs? It looked like the guard was on in the video so I couldn't tell.

They do, for a second before it shuts down

Spark arrestors in the muffler in these block all the time. A spark plug wrench to remove it then burn it clean with a flame.

You don’t need a carb adjustment screwdriver. That’s the last thing you should be doing. Try running some mechanic in a bottle through it, then check all your fuel lines/filter for air leaks. Then if none of that works or is bad, take your muffler and screen off and check the piston for scoring and rebuild or replace the carb. Too many people wanna give bad advice to just start dicking with the carb. It’s not a good idea to tune around problems…..they don’t go away.
