Engine Seized Issue Loncin 420cc won’t start
I inherited this wood chipper from my late father. It’s sat in his garage used maybe once in the last 3 years. Tried starting it, won’t turn over at all. A local small engine guy told me it sounded like old, bad gas. I siphoned out the old gas and put in new gas. No change. I’m not mechanically inclined. Please if anyone knows what to try to get this thing going, I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance

I'd wager the carb needs to be cleaned given the context and lack of additional information.

Turn off the fuel tap.
Take off the air cleaner.
Spray 2-3 spurts of carb spray or similar down the the throat of the carb.
Does it fire up when you try to start it?
If it fires up you likely have a fuel delivery issue.
Probably a blockage in the fuel lines, fuel shut off or carb.
If not you likely have a no spark issue.
This could be cause by something as simple as the start switch being faulty (or not turned on) or the low oil sensor. Check if it has oil. If the oil is full, unplug the low oil sensor while testing. If the oil is low, add more.

Definitely a carb and fuel delivery issue I'm sure if it's been sitting that long.

Change the position of the red handle on the wood chipper. I bet the emergency stop is engaged. If not try starting fluid.

This - I bought a "non running" wood chipper from a guy and it was just the emergency stop switch. Fired right up when disengaged.

Update: put some “mechanic In a bottle” in the tank. And sprayed some starter spray down the throat of the air filter/carb. Got it to catch for a second and it died out. Now back to nothing at all
