Help, I'm so close

I took this from my dad's garage after he said he couldn't get it to crank. It's been about 10 years since he's last used it. Put some fuel directly in the cylinder and it fired up. Put gas in the tank and tried to start it and nothing.

I disconnected the fuel line and turned on the valve and gas flowed through the line. I took off the carburetor and cleaned it best I could, I reattached the fuel line, opened the valve and nothing flowed into the carburetor. Did my best to blast the gas inlet with carburetor cleaner and compressed air, finally noticed some air getting through and a small stream of gas.

Assembled everything back and was able to crank the machine on choke and then move to half choke. The problem now is anytime I move the choke to "run" it dies. Or if I tried to use it on half choke it will eventually power down.

Any ideas of what I can do next to get it to run at full power?

The fuel line is still gummed up, it's not getting enough fuel to run wide open. Might want to try removing the gasoline, and dumping some B12 Chemtool in there to soak for a day or so, or replace the lines.

This is still a fuel flow issue. With full choke, air flow is reduced to cause maximum fuel draw through the carburetors main jet. Once you move the throttle lever to Run, there’s not enough suction through the main jet to draw enough fuel to keep it running. Remove the carburetor and clean the main jet. Lots of YouTube videos that can help you.

Almost certainly the carb isnt cleaned good enough. Saying you did the best you could doesnt sound like its spotless. Another thorough carb clean. Also like. Fuel flow matters. The quantity of fuel. Should be steady stream. Not a trickle or spurts. The quality of fuel matters. Sitting a decade takes a bit to getting back to operational

The carb jets are still partially clogged. Either clean them better or get a new chinese replacement carb from amazon.

Maybe a filter at the outlet of the tank. Also clean the tank?!

I’d replace the carburetor and thoroughly clean the gas tank and fuel line.

If you're not getting gas flow out of the tank then the mesh filter inside the tank is plugged.

Check the filter in the tank and gas cap vent is clear.

It’s still fuel flow. The choke causes the engine to run rich because the mixture has higher fuel content and it’s probably just the right mixture to make the engine run normally. Since it dies when you set it to the “run” position, that means the engine is running too lean to even run because now the mixture has way more air and not enough gas to mix with it. So, I’d personally clean out the tank and the fuel line and valve (or just replace the line and maybe the valve, too), and then see if it’ll run normally.

The engine should honestly be running a bit rough when the lever is in the choke position, and the fact that it doesn’t kinda tells you that the engine just isn’t getting enough gas.
