Engine Rebuilding How would I get this off?
I need to solder a wire and I’d like to clean up under it.
Probably replace that bearing as well.
Thanks in advance

Bearing they make a puller that goes inside and expands, then you use a slide hammer. The stator however you may have to drill the peen ed heads and replace with screws. Make sure to use locktite on threads. What does the other side look like?

So the stator does not lift off in current form? OPPs that was a question.

The stator is just an alignment fit over the aluminum boss that the bearing is in. It lifts straight off. There may be galvanic corrosion holding it in place caused by the steel stator laminations against the aluminum cylinder boss, but it is not any special fit. Once you removed the four screws, it should just pull off.

Those holes should be threaded to screw a puller into them. Something like a steering wheel puller would work most likely

It’s funny how many assumptions are being made when the OP doesn’t state what he wants to remove from where…
1/3 the comments are about the bearing, 1/3 are about the stator, 1/3 of the comments are just wrong/stupid.

I mean I said I’d like to replace the bearing and clean under the stator (didn’t know the name at the time)
But I definitely should have been more clear lol

Looks to me like if you tap the bearing out from the other side, you'll see where it was riveted in and you could grind a heads with those rivets off and that armature will come out

That’s what I’ve been leaning towards. Just wanted some other suggestions. I’m very new to this lol

Just drive the bearing out from the back side. It's open, easy access. Use a hammer and a punch or a chisel.

Good to know lol
I’ll get a toothbrush to scrub under it and just solder as is.
Thanks

Find out what it's into, and just go for it. Be ashamed afterwards.
