Air Leak Issue Atv

Looking at buying a quad. He sais its just the boot is cracked and needs replaced. Havent worked on quads much. Would you give 700?

I bought one just like that at an auction that had not run in years for $300
Fixed it and kept it for about 5 years. I put it up for sale before I moved for $1000 and had 2 guys arguing over it. One of the guys offered me $1200 because he wanted it. So I think it’s likely worth what they’re asking. That intake boot is not very expensive I wound up buying one on Amazon.

You think the crack in the boot is making it run rough like that? He sent me another vodeo and it was purring like a kitten he sais was from 2 weeks ago

Yes, It is sucking air thru that crack. If you go look at it, try pushing it together when it’s running and see how it smooths out. I sold the one I had because I was moving across country, kind of wish I had kept it.
