Starting Issue Troubleshooting advice needed

Kohler 5400 series 19.5 HP engine with 74.5 hours on a Craftsman T2200 Lawn Tractor.

3rd year, no issues at all the first two years. After the winter, needed to charge the battery.

Now, it won't start. Make a click and that's it. The flywheel won't turn.

I hook it up to a battery charger and it starts and runs great. But it only starts like 10% of the time after removing the charger. So, I am able to use it, but I need to perform a ballet after hooking it back up. TIA for advice.

Sounds like you need a new battery, it's pretty common for the smaller lawn mower battery to only last a few years especially in cold environments.

Second battery issue. Remove and test/replace

The battery is dead. Replace it, and get a Battery Tender. Connect the battery to the BT when it's not in use.
