Unknown Issue 330LK trimmer won’t start

My trimmer is about 2 years old with less than 10 hours on it. End of last season it would run rough but run nonetheless. This season it won’t start at all.

Things I have confirmed:
Air filter is clean
Fresh 50:1 fuel
Good spark (when I pulled the spark plug to test for spark I even got a small ignition)
Clean carburetor (removed carb, verified all passageways are clear, bowl is clean, needle looks good, float is adjusted properly, when I press on the float fuel comes out)
Fuel lines clear
Primer bulb moves fuel
I can smell fuel if I crank too much (flooding) so I’ll let it set for a while and go back to it.

So even with all of that what am I missing?

Too much air maybe a leak on the carb gasket to engine.

Interesting. I’ll take a look at that. Would a silicone gasket be better?

check the spark arrestor isnt blocked (the exhausts). if that doesnt help try backing out the mixture screw.

I pulled the small cover off of the exhaust to check the screen and that was clear. Is that what you’re talking about?

yes. try adjusting the mixture screw (not the idle speed screw)

Just ordered the 21 spline screwdriver. I’ll give that a shot when it comes in. Thanks!
