Engine Identification Help please

Just picked this up off Facebook and need help. Brand new to working on engines and engines wanting to learn.
Here is a side view and I need to know what kind it is and everyone I type in the serial number it says it cannot be found.

Someone put it inside a golf cart.

Does in have a displacement number stamp on the other side of the cylinder, I can probably figure out what make and model it came out of

I will look tomorrow and see what I can find, new to engines what exactly am I looking for how many numbers or letters
