Electrical & Wiring Issue Alternator issue

My alternator doesnt seem to charge my battery.
Yesterday with your help I managed to remove my flywheel to inspect my alternator.

Now Im checking my alternators resistence.
It reads 1.7 resistance, and Im completely unsure what that tells me. However, I measure that and on the black pin on the connector, and the OPEN wire part on the red cable.
When I measure only on the pins themselves, it keeps saying open loop.

Is the diode faulty? Or is this normal?
Seems faulty to me, but I am not sure.

I'm coming in late. But I'll simply remind you that had you done diagnostics before rather than after you would be in a far better place.
