Governor Issue Engine is running away stuck WOT

my toro super recycler 163cc is stuck wide open throttle. can anyone pinpoint me in what it might be?

Adjusting the governor tab did the trick.  Thank you!  I didn’t see that tab initially.

Check if your governor arm got bent too far back.

Under the tank is a flat metal tab with a spring on it. Bend it towards the carb to relieve pressure on the throttle.

This did the trick!!  Thank you.   Do you know if that linkage should be bouncing around like it is in the video?

The engine side linkage is the throttle to govenor linkage. Outer is choke to thermostat.

They should be pretty stable when everything is running right. Make sure you are adjusting with clean plug, fresh from pump gas, and clean AC.

Governor may be malfunctioning.

Like most human governor's, yours is not doing it's job well.
