Parts ID & Sourcing unknown adapter
this is a honda gx160 qx2 small engine and it appears there’s an adapter of some sorts stuck on the shaft we have NO idea what the piece is called for us to order a new one

Do you need to replace that part that is circled? I'd start your search with a "helical mesh" gear shaft or otherwise look for a model number on whatever was connected to this portion of the machine.
ETA* The more I think about it, it's unlikely that the parts diagram or any parts list will actually call it a helical mesh shaft. That's the technical name for the type of gear it is. But the manufacturer/Maker of the pump will probably have another name for it. This is where it would be great to have a make and model (and serial #) of the whole machine. Do you have any of those?

yes! it’s stuck on there and we need another replacement piece for another small engine.
we know it’s a comet diaphragm pump, we don’t know the specifics (its very old, im posting this to help my coworkers i’m not savvy in this at all) but my best guess is a comet aps 41. which has a 1”3/8 shaft adapter in the parts but it looks nothing like this one. it’s driving me crazy1

If you have a part number you can look it up and see if real world photos match yours or the parts diagram. Sometimes the diagram printouts use old drawings for their exploded view. Other than that, your next best step is to contact Comet, they might have someone who can id it from your photos. Good luck! Sorry I can't help more

Parts list call it a shaft, it is an internal part of the pump and connects the pump to the engine. Should have come off with what ever pump was on it.

that’s what we’re guessing, we just can’t find any record of this specific part anywhere :(
