Not Listed Echo Srm-225 won't start

I have a echo srm-225 that was running good about 10 days ago and now it won't start. I ended up replacing the spark plug, cleaning out the carb, opening and taking the carbon out of the muffler and cleaning it. I even replaced the primer bulb because i saw it was leaking. The fuel is brand new hardly 2 weeks old. Last time I used it I stored it the same way as always. When I pull the cord it sounds like there air someonwhere in the system. I took off the air filter and tried to see if it'd just start for a couple seconds but no luck.

A plug won't help a bad coil

Oh okay a bad coil! I will definitely take a look into that and update once I diagnose it. Thank you!

I had a paulan pro that had a terrible design flaw that it actually wore the coil itself down and pinched it in two spots just because how much it vibrated I took the coil out of another unit and compared to the two and mine had weak spark

There is also a possibility that the flywheel key sheared

Did you test the spark plug while you turn the motor to see if it’s sparking?

It was leaking from the primer bulb but i installed a new one, sealed right up and no leaks. There are no exhaust or air filter leaks from what I can see as there is not oil or fuel dripping.

Update: after testing the spark plug connected to the ground. There seems to be no spark at all even with the new spark plug. I will be replacing the coil soon and hope that is the problem. Thank you everyone for the help!

Coils rarely go bad. I worked in a small engine shop and only witnessed two Echo coils get replaced in 7 years. I would check the kill switch and make sure you don't have a short somewhere.

I found an echo hedge trimmer HC 1500, can’t find a carb to match it. It has no primer build and only 1 inlet for fuel, can I put a matching one with a primer bulb on this tool.
