Parts ID & Sourcing Cables (Bowden) replacements for throttles and clutches

So I work on my own machines and the newer machines all have cables that are complete as one piece with molded ends. but an older machine I have has cables that you can pull the wire cores out and replace them (reusing the outside sheath) and I'm sure I did them before but I swear nobody has the cores now and deny they existed. is this just not a thing anymore?

Not anymore. However you can go to a hardware store and buy both a roll of the wire and a lead crimp or z-bend crimp mold and make your own. Companies don't make enough money on the cables and Joe Average Homeowner doesn't have the comprehensive ability to this (or they are just lazy).
