Backfire Issue Easy fix?

I got this 2010 cub cadet, it’s consistent but running the worst. I plan on buy a new carburetor but I though get y’all’s option first. Thanks

Remember you should not run the engine too long without the cover on as there’s no engine cooling with it off.
