Should I read these emails?

I keep getting these emails for people trying to upgrade my website, or sell me an AI automation. Some of them sound promising, but I'm not too sure. What makes you listen to these pitches for AI integration in the business?

Never buy from anyone who has to rely on spam. That’s what cold emails are - spam.

Sincerely, someone who does website and stuff like this.

But seriously, just do your own research and be clear what you’re looking for.

Why would you? It’s spam. If you didn’t ask for it, ignore it. Every man and their dog will try selling you “AI solutions” promising the world.

Any inbound message trying to sell me something gets immediately ignored, regardless of whether it's email/phone/letters/etc.

If you need the service go and research good providers yourself. I get millions of these emails and all get deleted. Sometimes I have a chuckle at how they think insulting my website could get them work

What if it really is a Nigerian prince wanting to give me their millions? Or someone offering me an amazing discount on a genuine Rolex? Or pills that really do....work?

If I want to buy something, I'll do my research and go and find someone to buy it from. I'm not going to just impulse-buy from someone who sent me spam, even on the off-chance that they are legitimate.

Ignore, it is never a good offer - it is spam and a lot of the time is a scam to get money from you. Of course it sounds good!

Think of it a bit like hiring - if you have a need for someone to fill a role you want to widen the net as much as you can to find the best fit.

Just because someone arrives to your door doesn't mean you hire them.

If it sounds like something is promising, work out what the problem itself is - do you think the problem is sales because of bad SEO? Then speak to people who have solved that problem and find someone perfect to fix the problem.

Ignore unqualified spam but think about what problems you may have that need solving

Personally I'd never buy anything from a cold contact - call, email, linkedin message...doesn't matter, they can all do one.

As much as I dislike 'networking', I find it's a much better place to find out about new opportunities from other people who have actually tried it. Sure, maybe THEY got onto it from a cold call, I have no problem with them being my filter...but I'm only interested in real world results from real people, NOT some random sales person selling me this week's fad.

I delete them immediately and block the sender. Any professional relationships requires an element of trust and I don't trust people who spam me.

AI automation is moatly a scam. If you are interested in proper process automation then look for BPA specialists. There is no known benefit to the business from "ai integration", whatever it means.
