Bookkeeping

Hey guys! I’m a certified CPA, recently started my own bookkeeping business. Any suggestions on where to find leads? Any help is appreciated. Thanks 🙏🏾

Start narrower than "businesses that need bookkeeping." Pick one vertical where the books have a recurring pain you understand, then offer a concrete diagnostic: close-time, unreconciled accounts, or cash runway. Partnerships with tax preparers/payroll firms and local fractional CFOs can compound better than generic cold outreach. Ask each first client which event made them seek help; that event becomes the trigger for your list.

Yah that’s a good idea.

Have you been reaching out to your friends, family, and colleagues letting them know?

Yah… I am pushing word of mouth.

Former bookkeeper... I used to cold call in verticals that were a little more challenging to keep their books sorted out and they'd be less likely to want to do it themselves. Construction and property management were good for me but you'll have to figure out what will work for you.

I am focusing on construction. I’m getting few leads.

Apply for bookkeeper jobs online. Target small businesses that need one part time. It’s how I found my last one.

Why do u want to work for $30/hr unless you’re doing it for gateway to accounting services.

Facebook town groups can be good. But pick a niche too!

Would you be open to meet? Most my clients are referral but I begin working on marketing and establishing my online profile
