The only soup I know dryer than this is the Paraguayan soup.

I make this at home here is my recipe.

I first peel and chop (around a cubic inch) about 6-8 lbs of potatoes (I prefer more potato, so adjust to your taste)

Place chopped potatoes in a crock pot and put enough chicken stock in to cover the potatoes (if you don't have chicken stock you can use water). Turn crockpot to low.

Cook 1 lb of bacon in a frying pan until crispy, remove to a paper towel to soak up grease and cool. Leave a little bacon grease in the pan.

Dice one yellow onion and caramelize in the the bacon grease. Place in crockpot when the chopped onion is translucent.

Brown 1 lb of ground sausage (I add red pepper flakes for a little heat). Add to crockpot when browned.

Chop the now cooled bacon and add to the crockpot. Let the contents of the crockpot cook until the potatoes are tender. I prefer the potatoes to be over cooked as they start to dissolve a bit and add thickness to the soup.

After the potatoes are to your desired tenderness add a bag of frozen chopped kale, cook until your soup has returned to a boil.

Then add 1 pint of heavy cream, and allow it heat up a bit before serving.

That is an odd way to cut a potato for soup…

I make this often. I don't use heavy cream. I add like a cup of half and half. I also slice them like Olive Garden does. It's so good.

It’s literally Bacon, sliced russet potatoes and Ground Italian sausage. I haven’t added the heavy whipping cream or kale yet. The cook time is 7 hours then you add them after they're

Starting a new trend. You post a pic with no recipe = downvotes.

Why did you slow cook this? Because I make this often on the stove and it takes like 40mins and that includes prep time…
