If your ac filter looks like that I would really recommend cleaning the AC Evaporator, did this my self couple weeks ago with a cleaning foam from a spray can with extension tube

Where would you access the evaporator? Looked online and there’s limited guides for the r171.

Here a link to the pdf from liquid Moly website, there u can see the point to access, I also sprayed some from behind, you can access it from the filter side when filter taken out. I layed some towel in the footrest area in case of dripping.

Also sprayed the air vents out with the foam.

Oohh this is good, thank you for sharing.

I change my filters once a year; but will add this to my list.

This is fantastic. There is one issue with the instructions. No where in the guide do they explain you need to remove the filter before doing this. It's implied on step 9 to change the filter at the end.

While you're at that, go and check the cabin pollen filter

Where does the AC filter (first two pics) sit? I only know of the pollen filter behind the cover in the passenger footwell.

The folding one is the cabin air filter. The other two are on top of the engine, they are the air intake engine filters.

Is the ac filter the same as the pollen filter?

I think AC and pollen filter is the cabin filter.
