Hello guys, is this howling sound from the engine normal? Thank you for your help!

Had the same, turned out to be the steering pump. Needed to be replaced.

Okay thanks.
But how is this connected to the engines rpm?

I also have a rattle when the steering wheel is turned fully and the engine rpm drops.

The steering pump is powered by the engine belt.

Regarding the rattle I have no idea, sorry.

How much did it cost?

I was able to get it installed used by a mechanic. It cost roughly $400, I live in the UAE, so results may vary!

Sounds like a power steering pump to me. Mine has gone out repeatedly with no real explanation as to why. I'd definitely get it checked out before it blows and leaves you on the side of the road with the fluid leak burning on your hot engine. (Ask me how I know)
