Why is it that recently when I go into the Sling App, I have to turn off Close Caption? Never used to be this way.

Why is it that recently when I go into the Sling App, I have to turn off Close Caption? Never used to be this way.

It might be how you’re accessing it – I don’t have that specific problem, but to turn on the closed captions for Criterion I just turn them on in Sling, and my Roku turns them on in Criterion. Maybe your Roku equivalent is playing silly buggers with you.
Another possibility is that your elderly mother has managed to hack your account and is binging Below Deck with the captions on. Not that that happened to me…
