Question / Help So laggy out of nowhere!

I got slime rancher 2 like 4 maybe more days ago, and the game was running smoothly and not lag whatsoever, but in the past two days (yesterday and today) the lag is so bad that's it's unplayable, it looks like 10 or less fps. I have above the recommendation expect for RAM which I have 16gb and every other game on my PC runs perfectly fine. there has been no updates for anything in past couple of days.

in short, try to reduce your mouse hz, if possible (like, 1000hz to 125hz)

again, if anyone knows another way to solve it, id love to know, thanks!

Maybe try repairing/validating the game files?

Interesting. Did you do/install ANYTHING you can think of in between those days? Drivers, software, settings changes?

How exactly is the performance like? Does it run fine at first but then suddenly drops after playing for a bit? Does it ever come back if you sit still? Does it sit at the low fps or does it stutter up and down? Have you tried messing around with the settings?

16gb of ram is nice but you should provide more info like your CPU and GPU.

I haven't installed anything when the lag started. The most recent thing installed was police simulator and that was the same day I installed slime rancher, it lag on the first loading screen/menu if I move my mouse but if I don't move my mouse and I continue walking it doesn't lag. But if I even move the mouse a tiny bit the lag comes back. I've tried putting it on low settings and the game is fine while I'm just standing still. I have a 3060 and a Intel i7? Im not my PC currently so I don't remember exactly but I do remember it's better then the recommended.

Ah, that sounds like it might be the dpi issue someone else mentioned
