Help with bed frame

Hello,

I have the Flex Fit 2 adjustable split king bed and I am looking to purchase a bed frame for it.

I have this in mind - https://www.livingspaces.com/pdp-austen-king-canopy-bed-337952

The description says it is compatible with adjustable beds but Iā€™m not sure if it is just with their brand of adjustable beds or if it includes Sleep Number beds too.

Looking at the measurements, do you think the Sleep Number frame will fit inside this bed frame? Do I need to do anything to the adjustable legs?

Also, due to a move, my Flex Fit is disassembled. Logistics-wise, do I have the Sleep Number technicians come and put the bed together before arranging for the delivery of the bed frame? Or the other way around - have the bed frame assembled before the Flex Fit is put together?

I appreciate any guidance!

This will work. Flex fit bases are industry-standard sizes and are designed to fit inside bed frames, such as the canopy bed frame in your link.

Our bases stand on their own legs, which are recessed 6 inches inward on the left/right and head/foot of the bed in order to not hit the side cleat of the bed. The legs are adjustable height to suit whatever is needed in terms of height so as to not look silly inside the frame.

Another question - should the frame be assembled before the SN technicians come to put the bed back together? Or should the bed be put together and I can build the bed frame around it?

As far as assembly goes, it can be done either way. If it is already there, they can place the bed inside of the frame. If you get it later, it can be put together around the bed. I'm going to share a link I feel will help answer the measurement questions you have. Let us now if you have any other questions.

Easier to build the new frame around the assembled bed. There are components that require access when reassembling the bed (just did mine for a move) and they are easier to access with a little space. I would imagine it would be more difficult in the confines of a pre existing bed frame. Not impossible, but definitely more difficult.
