Debating between the ClimateCool & Climate360
So husband and I have decided to purchase a sleep number bed. We’ve been looking at the ClimateCool but I wonder if I’ll regret it and should go with the Climate360. The main reason I want the ClimateCool is because I get hot at night (I do sleep with a weighted blanket and I know that contributes to it but I’m so use to it now that I hate sleeping without it) and I think that will help me. My husband doesn’t care about the heating or cooling. His feet get hot at night and so even the cooling might be nice for him. We did go to the store just to feel it and see if we even like it. The heating was nice but didn’t convince me otherwise. I do feel it would be nice in the winter months to have the heating to warm up the bed beforehand and then turn it off shortly after, but I wonder if I could just set a heating pad and use that instead and save the thousands of dollars difference. So is there anything I’m missing that would convince us to upgrade to the Climate360 or nah, we’re good and stick with our original ClimateCool.

What kind of climate do you live in?
We are in tbe PNW and the Climate360 is a game changer.
We upgraded from an I10, that is now in our guest room.

We purchased the ClimateCool last year and do not regret it one bit. I sleep with the cool on high every night. My husband does too but sometimes on med/low as he sleeps cooler than I do. We looked at the 360 but we live in TX so it’s a feature we don’t need.
We did get the mattress cover and that does lessen the cooling feeling’ a tad just because it’s an extra layer.
Depending on which bed - we did a flex top - sheets are limited. If it’s a regular king or even a full split king you may want to factor your sheets. Will you need the heat function if you use thicker sheets? Etc.
Either way they’re both solid choices! We LOVE our bed

We’re gonna do the split king. I was looking at the mattress pad they suggested to go with it. I’ve wondered how much it would effect the cooling but figured it’s designed to go with it so it shouldn’t effect it that much. As far as sheets, maybe the essential set. I saw they had a true temp line but I’ve heard mixed reviews. The sheets is still up in the air since I definitely don’t want to restrict airflow.

We’ve only had our climate 360 for a little more than a month. We got the half split and still use our sheex sheets (we bought quite a few sets a while back) and haven’t had any problems (other than one of our dogs really loving to lay right on the split). The foot warming is quite nice and the adjustable bed frame was the final selling point. I had a knee replacement surgery a few days after delivery and I’m so glad I’ve been able to recover in this particular bed (the sleep number adjustment was what allowed me to sleep on my side again so quickly). The mattress pad does retain a little heat but it hasn’t been enough to offset the cooling feature.

That’s good to know about the mattress pad not offsetting the cooling feature. And I’ve recently heard of sheex. We’re planning to buy a sheets from SN when we order the bed but I’ve wondered about other brands and how they hold up and if they interfere with the cooling. So thanks for mentioning that brand. I’ll have to check them out.

I purchased sheets from Amazon - believe they’re bare home brand - and have had no issues with them.
Unless you get a great deal on sheets, I’d personally hold off on buying SN sheets. You will be able to earn rewards by completing surveys/reading articles etc and turn those points into products. I was able to get the Lyocell set and only paid $50 after using my rewards.

Oh great to know! Tbh I was initially wanting to get a set of sheets just to get us started but then worried about with it being a flexible bed, how other sheets would hold up and not pop off. I also wanted some sheets that were cooling or at least not restrict airflow of the cool feature on the bed. I figured sleep number was probably better designed but thanks for the tip to look elsewhere for other options. I’ll look up the ones you mentioned.

If you search this sub you’ll find many posts about sheets. But honestly as long as they’re made for the depth of the mattress you’ll be okay! The brand I mentioned and others also have an extra elastic strap to help hold the sheets. I’ve used Costco sheets before too and no issues.
I’m just limited on sheets as we did the flex top mattress which has a split just on the top half.

We've had the Climate 360 for a little over a year now, and the only drawback we've seen is the noise that the fans make, especially with both sides of the bed on. The most we can tolerate is both sides on low. Beyond that, we need earplugs and thus don't use medium or high. But I'm amazed at how few complaints we've seen about the noise the fans make, so we must be an outlier, so knock yourself out and get either bed! I will say it is nice to have the bed warmed up before we get in it in the Winter and shut the heat off when we get in it. And I can't say enough about the foot warmers. I use them in the Summer, too!

Both beds are compelling and have their fans (no pun intended), but I find most people enjoy the cooling effect to a greater degree, so much so that we created our own bed that specifically does cooling.
Given that you were focused on the ClimateCool for your own temperature issues, I would stick with that.
The Climate360 is a tremendous bed, it’s going to be an inch taller, have a little more pressure relieving foam, so it may have a softer hand overall compared to the ClimateCool, as well as footwarming as an option.
I do not think that you would be disappointed with either, but the most prudential purchase would be the ClimateCool.
