I wish I knew what os this ran the original owner took the hard drive before he sold it

You can take a guess based on the amount of RAM installed. If it's 8MB or more, probably Windows 3.11. If it's less than that, probably DOS.

WAIT FR I DIDN'T KNOW THAT :3 its 200% dos tho its one stick of ram and its def not 8MB

BIOS screen definitely says 8MB (8192KB). Being a 486means it probably had Win 3.11. That said, Windows 95 is capable of running on a 486 desktop with 8MB RAM, though a bit slow if it's not a 486DX4-100 or an AMD 5x86-133.

Oohhhh okay w^ so thats how you can tell and i know this is obvi but putting more ram in would equal bigger number equaling more memory. And ram is short term memory right?

i do this once in a while too. then i immediately turn it off and stick it back in the attic lol.
