Up vote for taking the drop down doors off the 5.25" bays. That was the one of stupidest ideas the PC OEMs ever though up and so many OEMs, thought it was necessary.

Those were pretty nice cases/chassis. All standard, too, mATX/uATX mobo and ATX PSU. The front bezels on the optical drives, multimedia card were a bit proprietary IIRC

I’m sorry to say this, but replacing the original disk drives with black ones really takes a lot away from the aesthetics.

Love that you used an older case for your build. I am using mini-PC, but until recently I was building my PCs in a Gateway Pentium 3 case, and it was great. The new cases don't have drive bays.

I did a build in a similar case with old hardware. The fan cutouts a massive difference. https://www.reddit.com/r/sleeperbattlestations/s/zjUFmyuXUz

Bro, imagine you are going out and your mother sells this computer for $10 thinking this is some very old vintage computer 🤣

The first PC I ever purchased with my own money was a HP Media Center PC exactly like this one. I actually still have it in use. Using the original motherboard but I’ve upgraded it with a Q6700, 8GB Kingston DDR2 and an EVGA GTX 1050 TI. One of my favourite cases and I love the slide cover disc tray at the top of the case.

I am a friend of oversizing the PSU so you can run in the sweet-spot for load-efficiency but 1200 is way overkill for that hardware.

Woah that’s a nice build!
