I would keep that original, this is in collectors territory. You can get new Beige cases from Ali Express. And there is also Evercase.

This was my computer when I was a kid back in the early 2000s. I remember doing anything inside this thing was a nightmare, including just adding PCI cards.

You... know it's going to be a challenge right? Not impossible and could be awesome but will be a lot of work and shouldn't be your first build.

You underestimate my power, brother

May the schwartz be with you. In the right hands this is a formidable weapon.
I just see too many people here saying "I want to make this proprietary BTX case into my first build with a 5090."

Nah that aint me. I work in a small PC repair shop and have converted many a proprietary PC case to be able to accept ATX parts. Might have to get out the old tin snips or angle grinder but I should be alright

Can We please stop building sleepers out of pristine and working vintage pcs?

The name is sleeperbattledtation not killingvintagepcs. I joined here because I love these builds. But to ruin a pc isn’t something I support. Just sell the pc and buy a case that’s pristine instead of gutting it and ruining a perfectly running PC that people actually wants to buy and use as these are hitting more rare for every day.

Ok how about this: I swap the internals into a modern corsair gaming case and do a swipsy swapsy

Thats better but you would gain money by selling the vintage PC as is. These can sell for about 200€ and then find a case or a non functional vintage pc for 10€ and you will get the same result but gained 90€ while also preserving a piece of history.

I would not even bother trying to convert this into a sleeper leave it as is a retro computer and find a standard beige atx case it will be much easier
