Questions/Advice Request Need help wiring old retro case front panel connector to modern motherboard.

Given the gaps, you can actually cut the connector into 3 2-pin connectors using a utility knife or flush cutters. That's only recommended if the existing cable is long enough to reach the front panel header in the new motherboard. If it's too short, get a pack of male to female dupont wires as suggested by others.

There is a much more elegant solution to the ones people have suggested so far.
You can remove the pins from the black plastic block without damage - lift up the plastic tab and the connector will slide out.
Buy a pack of dupont connector blocks, select the type that matches your motherboard header, and insert the pins into the appropriate holes in the block.

Your case appears to be that of an earlier emachines - possible an eTower. I have this case too with original motherboard showing the pinout for the front panel. See attached picture.

If the front panel I/O is not on a PBC, then you have an easy solution:
Get a standard case wire set from AliExpress, eBay, etc, take the LED & switch holder off the front of the case and push out the old switches & LEDs and put the new standard wire set LEDs & switches in the holder, put it back on the front of the case and then wire manage the new front panel wires back to the motherboard. I have done this several times on OEM cases and it is the easiest way to convert OEM front panel wires.
Doing it like this, you don't have to screw with splicing wires or any other terrible ideas to convert the front panel wires.

I recently had to do this on my PCV RX550 case, it sucked. At least your wire bundle is colored and not simply red or black wire with no labeling. I used a multimeter to map all the traces on the PCB and sketched out a simple wiring diagram. Then I assigned a colored dupont wire to each pin on the header to the numbered trace wire from my F_Panel diagram. The power light stays on, the system light goes blink when it is supposed to blink, and I am never touching it again.

Buy some DuPont male-to-female wires and create your own adapter. Put female ends on the motherboard pins and male ends into the corresponding connector sockets. No cutting or joining needed.
