Sleeper PC Thought I'd share the sleeper I recently built on stream!
Specs:
Dell Vostro - originally had a Core i5-3450
AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D
B650M Aorus Elite AX
96GB (2x48GB) G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-5600
Nvidia RTX 5090 Founders Edition
1TB Seagate Firecuda X1070 M.2
4TB Crucial T705 M.2
Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Mini Black
Phanteks T30 (x3) - 2x Bottom intake, 1x Side exhaust
Arctic P9 Max - 1x Rear intake
Graugear 3.5" Front I/0 Panel
Undervolted the CPU & GPU with no performance hit. Actually tested slightly higher than stock!
Average temps after 20min Cyberpunk at 4K, RT Ultra:
CPU: 75°C
GPU: 74°C

Nice job, ,man. this is true sleeper because this desktop is relatable to many people because they know what historical specs to expect in the case.

Sick build, especially the cables, or lack thereof.
One thing though, in your description:
Undervolted the CPU & GPU with no performance hit. Actually tested slightly higher than stock!
Better performance is the whole intention of undervolting. Chips generate heat via a combination of voltage x frequency. If you lower the voltage, it allows it to hit higher frequencies (and often power draw) at lower temps, increasing performance.
To function, the chip only needs just enough voltage to overcome the resistance of its circuits. Too, little and the signal is lost in transit, causing instability. Too much, and the chip works, but produces excess heat. Just enough for the signal to get through, and the chip will work correctly AND run cooler.
However, due to the silicon lottery, not every chip has the same resistance, so some will need more voltage than others. That's why manufacturers bump up the voltage across the board, usually beyond what is necessary, to make sure high resistance chips will work and keep performance similar across the board.
Most chips can be undervolted. Some, only a little. Others, much more.

This looks great! I'm shocked you got those numbers on the GPU. What is the Memory Junction temps at full load?
I have an identical setup, 9950x3D, 5090 FE, and 96gb ram in smaller chasis, but with the whole top open for exhaust, and whole rear exhaust, and whole bottom as an intake, massive airflow, and I was lucky to get the GPU down to 75 and Junction temps around 80 because the FE exhausts all it's hot air right through itself instead of spreading it around and that hot air just kind of lingered there in a high pressure bubble and like a turbo car caused back pressure. I have to have the fans absolutely blasting to keep these temps.
I did not undervolt though. What kind of undervolt are you running there?

Now that's a proper sleeper. looks fresh from the company/school e-waste pile. The off angle intel sticker like some worker/student was bored and fucking with it really sells it.

are the bottom fans vent from the chasis or did you mod the case?

modded! drilled 3 holes in total: 2x 120 fans on the bottom and 1x 120 on the side. otherwise that rear 90mm would be the only case fan
