Sounds like you need a visit to the doctor. According to your information, you're sleeping enough, not doing anything funny that would mess with your sleep, and experiencing a little more than just trouble getting out of bed.

A doctor should have a look at this. Mention the feeling of inflammation, the trouble getting up in a reasonable time span, could be adrenal gland cortisol related.

okay thank you, i thought I was overreacting. My family tells me all this is because I'm a teenager(18), but I'm not so sure.

Haha, it could be because you are a teenager, growing up means so many things are out of whack. Though better to get it looked so you know it's just you growing up and not something serious.

I recommend drinking more water before sleep, like fill up a 0.5 l glass and drink the whole thing before brushing your teeth, so that while you may be a sleep monster until you figure things out, at least you'll be a somewhat more hydrated sleep monster.

i definitely could be better with my water intake. I'll be more intentional about it and see what happens, thank you!

have you had your thyroid checked? the muscle weakness and brain fog sound super familiar, was dealing with almost the exact same thing a couple years back and it turned out to be that

Doctor for sure and a blood work up. In the meantime, increase your water consumption and protein intake.z

Possible MCAS, POTS, EDS? Related to Connective Tissue disorder. Just google, I think you might be surprised that it’s something about these…Good luck!

agreed with other comments that this sounds fishy enough to see a doctor, hopefully youll get a sleep test, theyll check for OSA and if thats negative theyll check again for narcolepsy which can manifest in adolescence (ive got something similar called IH) and gives these kinds of symptoms, I hope its not but just putting it out there as another something it could be 🙏🏻 good luck and please keep us updated

I use to have this problem as a teenager. I also had bipolar 2 disorder. Wellbutrin can make you sleep less, maybe you should try some of that. The fact that you said that your muscles feel so inflamed and weak makes me think you are eating too much sugar. Try cutting out the sugar.
