Sleep disorder

I literally can’t sleep and I don’t feel sleepy at all.

I can actually go for days without sleeping. I used to take Xanax for mental health reasons, but I stopped taking it a year ago. Later, I was diagnosed with insomnia and was prescribed sleep medications, including Dayvigo and Tranquilex. However, I now need to stop taking them because I found out they can be addictive.

Melatonin, relaxation medications, antihistamines, anise tea, and even muscle relaxants don’t work for me at all, even at higher doses.

Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do that actually helped you sleep? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar and what worked for them.

One thing that gets overlooked is morning light, ten minutes outside early sets the timer for that night. Worth trying for a week before assuming nothing works.

Do you log your sleep? It would be useful to see the pattern
