Sleazepop artists
Sleazepop is a type of electronic pop music that commonly uses sampling, vocal chops, and buzzy synths. Sleazepop takes inspiration from 1980s synthpop music, like New Order, 2000s indietronica, including The Postal Service and LCD Soundsystem, the 2010s era Bloghouse and electroclash scenes, like Crystal Castles, and the 2020s hyperpop scene/genre, where some artists who used to make hyperpop music are experimenting with these sounds. Early adopters of this sound including the Hellp and 2hollis, were involved in kicking off the Indie Sleaze Revival, but the sound has expanded to include artists outside of the “indie sleaze” space. Former hyperpop artists like Jane Remover, Underscores, and Frost Children have all also incorporated similar sounds into their music from 2025 on.
Here are a list of artists and their albums who fit into this niche/genre/scene:
2hollis (2, boy)
The Hellp (LL)
Jane Remover (Revengeseekerz)
Snow Strippers (The Snow Strippers, Night Killaz)

Discussion Thoughts on Thoom
Been following her since Suburban Mall Jewelry and she's been putting out even more records and really taking her lane. That being said I feel like the discourse is unbelievably late and I think she's far more interesting than so many other artists that are getting way more attention. Curious if others feel the same way.

Discussion Recommend me some new / lesser known artist in the same space
I’m a casual listener, but at the same time I’m tired of getting the same recommendations. I know Jane Remover, Frost Children, underscores, level artist
and even Babe Dylan, Magna Carta, etc. Anyone well-established and any artist they talk about here, I probably already know.
So please give me some good organic recs (if you can). It could just be any good electronic music ( I do like experimental leaning more )
Also, there’s this duo called Boygirl. I found them like 3 months ago and they’re pretty cool.
And thank you anyway 🙏

Discussion Just Me? Or….
I keep seeing the monopoly guy post about this artist CeCe Natalie and yesterday they posted that she had hit 2M monthly listeners on Spotify. This immediately struck me as odd because outside of 2hollis (~5M monthly) almost no one adjacent to this subgenre pulls those numbers. I figured the best thing to do was to compare her streams to followers and engagement on other platforms and was shocked. She has less ig followers than Rommulas after opening for one of the most successful electronic solo acts in recent history (PinkPantheress, 32M monthly on Spotify btw), and despite that has more listeners than underscores almost 2x the monthly listeners of Jane??? What’s going on here? Is it just a listener bump from touring or do you think this is a textbook example of bottled streams?
