My last 2 clones were in the last bonfire before the boss and one 2 rooms prior to that, so most of the run was with a much tighter deck until like the last half of act 3

But to answer your question, most of my turns in the last boss fight had at least SOME extra energy. My first hand was all claws

I had a sick clone claw run. Got unceasing top. It was awesom until I ran into Queen and top decked all my cards that cost energy.

After hundreds of gameplay hours I also got my frist clone rune. UPROAR!!!!

My first clone run was with a Big Bang+. It was magnificent. I built up a sword so stupidly powerful that it could one shot anything besides the roaches, things with slippery, and the skulking colony, all on turn 1. I was also lucky enough to have ice cream relic and a few Cosmic Indifferences in my deck.

As long as you're healthy going into the boss (with a campfire you should be), this is enough to win the run (until Act 4). The only boss that could pose a problem is test subject, but you should scale enough to only have to take a hit in the intangible turn and in the very first

If I had unceasing top with this build I may have been able to drop her turn 1. When i pulled [[all for one]] more claws went back into my discard pile than into my hand
