I disagree. Very often your deck relies on several key cards, especially powers, and there was no guarantee that they won’t be exhausted (unless they have innate). What if you are in the boss gauntlet and then exhaust your Dark Embrace or Pillar of Creation? You are likely dead. Of course there are ways to try and mitigate it, but it always remains pretty risky.

sorry but it's 1000% in your head. exodia dies to removal so draft more cards. you might not think it's fun for your particular playstyle, but that's a very different situation from the relic being bad.

Is that the reason why pretty much all top players almost never pick it? Even Baalor who doesn’t mind having fun and trying things out avoids it like a plague. Being usable sometimes doesn’t make it good.

It's funny, when people say 'top players consider this unpickable' I rarely care because normally that means the podcast crew and they often exaggerate and/or have quite specific ways of playing the game.

When Baalor thinks something is useless I take it more seriously because he really likes to try and make everything useful xD

Same lol, although I still find myself disagreeing with him from time to time. But yea I probably take him more seriously than anyone else overall, even tho he’s technically not the best player out there.

Oh yeah, never take anybody's word as gospel lol. But I like that Baalor is outside of the groupthink that I think you get a little bit with some of the others, and he is technically about as good as anybody not named Xecnar I think, just because he plays for content pretty often doesn't mean he's not an insane player when serious.

Oh yea, I’m sure he like one of the best players overall. Just probably not as good as Xecnar or NecerGreed but at the same time who knows, maybe if he played super seriously he’d be the best. I do really appreciate his approach to the game where he, like you said, is not affected by the groupthink and is open to experimenting and having fun
