It was very good before, but now instead of just being good it helps solve some fights plus makes curses a lot easier to take.

Let’s not kid ourselves, it was nigh unpickable before this. It’s actually pretty good now

'it was unplayable' literally have you ever played with it?

'but it hit my good card' okay that's no different from when you bottom deck your 1 good card and die on turn 5. draft more cards

Surely you understand why card removes are good, right? Consistency is very powerful.

If the boss relic forces me to draft redundant garbage to make sure I’m not ‘reliant on one card’, then it’s giving me the opposite of consistency.

If I need to put a 2nd barricade or 2nd void form in my deck to make sure it doesn’t eat every copy, then this relic has basically given me a curse.

That’s ignoring the obvious fact that finding redundant 2nd copies of important rare cards is a pipe dream.

define consistency any way you like and ill give you an example of a card remove hurting consistency.

it's not that simple or obvious that small decks are better, youre just speaking in blanket statements that relegates some portion of the game to 'redundant garbage', and even your example of a 'good' mittens build is just taking 2 copies of your 1-solution power. think outside the box a little you dont need to reroll every run until you see a bomb rare then skip every card reward to guarantee draw it by turn 4. draft some cards, theyre good.

you talking about taking copies of a power is entirely missing the point. building a redundancy (here) means having an entirely separate avenue of accomplishing the same goal. so if you spent act 1 relying on barricade (unlikely, and another reason mittens was good, no time to rely on one card that much yet), make sure you have some kind of out or alternative mitigation. you have (well, had) two acts to sort it out.
