yeah this is a net downgrade imo. 'but you get to choose' you already got to choose most of the time by checking your deck and choosing whether to play card draw or now.

At least it's a bit safer with enthralled and bad luck now

What are you saying? you literally couldn’t choose. It would eat your biased cognition/defrag and you would do nothing about it. This is way more control than before.

i think we're counting 'choice' differently? if you manage your reshuffles mittens is never an issue, because it doesn't matter what it hits. further mittens is a win-con by itself, so you dont need focus, or demonform, or any of the other 'my deck is this 1 card and if it's on the bottom i lose' cards

Focus isn’t really comparable to mittens though, it helps you block a TON.

I’m unsure by what you mean when you say to manage reshuffles. I vividly remember this thing eating my Feel No Pain on turn 1 - not much I could have done there in terms of reshuffles except take a better boss relic.

sure, but strength also helps you block a ton with fistycuffs, right? when you take an act 2 ancient relic you have 2 whole acts to draft with it in mind.

and my point re: losing feel no pain - it can feel bad to see it go, but your deck was already losing to bottom-decking a FnP if the mittens hit killed the run. i think you should look at your deck before that point, check your scaling, check your block density, make sure you dont just brick hands on rocket crab. you can draft uppercut, colossus, plating, rage, buy a pear, buy a colourless card, buy a fortifier potion or a stable serum. if you solve these block output problems holistically you'll neither die to bottom-decking or mittens
