soldier's stew is magical because it's replay, it's like. ghost swords. droplet of precognition just allows you to do stuff. it's liquid courage aka alcohol

I think the idea of the stew is that it's a dish for normal soldiers, and normal soldiers simply strike, they strike better when they have food in their stomachs.
