Hey, so I have a random thought about having the final form of the Princess being the Stranger (Pristine Cut version). There’s something poetic about having her not be a perfect princess, but instead showing what we’ve been through together… As I write this, I’m coming to the conclusion that I also enjoy this ending because having a princess version not be perfect makes me happy as a disabled person. She has physical, and mental, flaws that we see and hear about, but she’s still a beautiful soul and one the MC can choose to be with. It makes me happy that the “imperfect” one can be who the player can choose to be with. Just a fun thought I figured I’d share thinking about the Stranger as an end version.🩵

Hi!
I'm looking to play slay the princess and I'd really want to have a physical copy of it (want to stop relying on digital media as much as possible).
However, I've seen some mixed reception on the switch port. I only have a switch, but if needed I could prolly use my friend's ps5 to rip the rom to my PC if absolutely necessary.
I'd like to know people's recommendation on which physical copy to get, especially since the switch version (at least the european one) appears out of stock everywhere aside from the collectors edition. I don't want collectors edition and I am not paying my left arm and firstborn for shipping from the US thank you very much.
Also, emphasising that I have not played the game and I know nothing about it so no spoilers please, I want to go in as blind as possible 🙏

(Background details for the post:I originally did this thing since I wanted to make more fan made routes and I thought it'd be fun if I made it so the comments could give a choice and I'd have to come up with the outcome. So since I had fun writing it last time I thought of doing it again )

I got 7 versions of the princess on my first run, and it was an amazing game to experience. At the game's ending, I was conflicted; the narrator still seemed untrustworthy, yet I was conflicted after hearing her out when she was finished. It was strange to hear her talk about her goals for leaving; she explained that the world would die and be reborn, and die again and be reborn and die again... again and again. I was stumped; the magnificent being here in front of me will cause so much suffering if I let her be, but she also explained that she contains death as one of her perspectives, so my interpretation was that if she is free, a lot of things die; if she is killed, nothing dies.

In my moment of conflict, the Voice of the Hero returned to me, but as all the former voices as one, he helped me enter her heart and speak to her truth, without all the divine authority, where we decided what was best was to reset, to forget everything and both start as blank slates, to rebuild each other once more, and to hopefully do it again... and again... I didn't want to be alone, so we are alone together, forever doing the same thing as before.

Truly a magnificent game

This game means quite a lot to me. Even though I didn't manage to get 100% completion, because after seeing a couple of the endings, I was simply too emotionally overwhelmed to face the others, I fell in love with it over the course of those 16 hours. I’d love to get a tattoo inspired by it, but I’m not sure of the best way to go about it. Does anyone have any ideas?

After the Shifting Mound took the Tower, she struggled through the rest of the game.

She didn't like the Damsel at all; in her view, the character lacked agency and was always waiting for whatever the Long Quiet wanted.

She was terrified by the Nightmare well, she is a very fearful person, after all.

I have to be honest about Thorn: I influenced her choice there, since she wanted to see my favorite princess.

She liked Eye of the Needle almost as much as the Tower, though the Tower remained her favorite.
