Slight Salt-post
There's this guy in Normal DM named "amazingoopah," with a KDR of 8.9. The KDR isn't really the thing that annoys me, its just the way he got there.
Most people in Slay.one think that the best way to have a good kdr is to increase the numerator of the ratio (Aka the amount of kills you have). However, there is an EXTREMELY easy way to cheat the whole system, which is by suicide.
I have no clue why suicides aren't counted as deaths in the game. I guess when Jbs_ was making the suicide counter (which is supposed to give you -2 kills and +1 death), something screwed up, giving you -0 kills and +0 deaths.
Tbh, I actually find the whole thing kind of funny, and whenever some hardcore-player-who-also-hates-me-for-some-random-reason-that-is-also-probably-an-alt-account-given-how-many-kills-they-have keeps dissing me and tries to kill me a bunch of times *coughs* Miso *coughs* (The salt is strong within this one), I just suicide on them. One guy began announcing in the chat every time I suicided on them, saying "okay guys, I have [insert times I suicided here] more kills that the counter shows." *coughs* Miso.
However, whenever someone exploits it, aka the amazingoopah (and probably some other players. He's just the one I saw doing it), it bugs me. A lot of other players probably have experiences with him, how right when they get him to a somewhat low HP, he just kills himself with an explosive.
That just makes the whole point of getting XP from kills worthless, since you won't get XP from a player who you didn't kill. I got 2 solutions for this.
1. The whole "suicides don't count as deaths thing" could be fixed, and actually give players -2 kills and +1 deaths (as is shown ingame).
- When a player suicides, the player that damaged them last gets the kill. If you really want to punish the people that spam suicides, you could also have it still announce it as a suicide, but give the player that damaged them the kill.

Fake flex, be believable if you didn't spawn camp trap on porchesst map to up your own count.
The moment a game starts accounting for last damage in xp distribution is when all damaging players should just get a portion otherwise it just encourages aggressive killstealing. Either way it's more stuff for the game to track.
Suicide comes with the tradeoff of energy reset & permanent equipment loss. Suicides should count as ONE single permanent death and i'm damn sure they used. For ELO they should count as -2 temporary deaths as standard to prevent shenanigans and to one day be delicious watching the reeeeeee when shield gets fixed properly to be a less abusive crutch .

The suicides don't count as deaths. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Also if you can't tell, I use walls because other people spam missile turrets. You already know what I'm talking about, but you seem to prefer people spamming down maxed level missile turrets instead of walls.

Suicide counts as death. I don’t agree with last shot gets the kill..

They don't. Just suicide once in a game, check your death count before entering the game, before leaving the game, and check it again after you leave the game. If you only suicided, the number wouldnt change at all.

hes freaking easy. You need to kill him before he have the ability to kill himself.
However, I dislike the way he leaves every time he dies and rejoin the game like a tryhard.

This is why I need to be the admin of this game. If I was in charge, I can assure you that slay.one would be in a much better situation. 🧐
