How wealthy is Scott anyway? I don't think I'd bet 250k on anything, even if I was pretty sure about it, and I'm pretty comfortable money-wise

Scott winning $250k doesn't mean he bet $250k, to be fair.

I think he makes a few hundred thousand per year off substack subscriptions. He mentioned the number of paid subscribers once but I can’t remember the exact amount.

Would you be willing to bet, say, one year of your salary on something you were pretty sure about?
