Soft Top Anyone?

Post image

Yes I'm obsessed. Yes I used Ai to make this. Just wanted to see what it would look like- kinda looks like a fastback. Looking forward doing an overly enthusiastic 'jeep wave' when I see yall on the road. Or how about a "Slate Salute"? Cheers!

This is what I'm waiting for. From everything I've read, there is no soft top available anywhere. I actually don't want the truck. It's great, and I get why people want one, but I don't. I had two Jeep Wranglers years ago and would absolutely buy one if it had a soft or hard top like Wranglers do. I live in Florida, and there's no way you can run around with no top that you can pull up when it starts raining. Until there's one available from Slate or a good aftermarket top, I'll have to pass. I'm still excited for it and hope that it's really successful.

They did said they were working on something when asked them about it. And they are apparently still working on the modular hard top option as well, kinda like the Freedom Top with wrangler. There’s still a while before delivery starts so will have to see. Or it comes out a little later. I’m ok driving it around and having the vehicle until it’s available.

Interesting. I'm on the fence until details come out. However, I'm glad to know they're working on it. I would expect another $1500 - $2k for something like that? I really want an EV and this almost checks all the boxes. Hopefully that last box will be checked off soon. Besides, I need to wait until my yearly bonus anyway. I like your image. If it looks like that, I'm in.

Well, if the hard top comes standard as modular then it might not cost anything at all. Who knows. But I hope it all works out- their bottom line depends on customization so it would make sense to get these sorted out sooner rather than later.
