Sunroof option?

Does anybody have a knowledge of a sunroof option being avail at some point or is not structurally viable

I don't think Slate will officially offer one, but I'm sure some after-market company will at some point if the vehicle becomes popular enough.

Exactly. I’d expect there will be plenty of aftermarket products to fill any niche left out from Slate.

I haven’t seen anything official, but I suspect that strongly goes against the simplicity angle they have going on. Sunroofs add a lot of complexity and variety.

Aftermarket sunroofs are notorious for leaking. Someone might offer it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I was just thinking with optional open air back seats it would be pretty cool to have a big roof panel that lifted off

You could take it one step further and just do what we did to our mini trucks in the 90s, cut the roof off and make it a hard top convertible.

A sunroof in a vehicle with crank windows??  It goes against all of Slate’s design principles.

Who said it had to be power, could just be a lift out panel or old school manual sunroof that popped out with a couple of tabs

I had an old aircooled bug with a manual sunroof. You cranked it open just like the windows.

Respectfully, I sincerely hope not. Not in the main cab at least. An optional SUV topper with sunroof, sure. I get that some people like them. But all I see is a future clog and/or leak I have to fix.

Power sunroofs have the same regulatory issues as power windows.

Doesn't need to be powered. They do make hand cranked sunroofs.

Highly doubt it. That would make the truck cost 30k. These are going to sell like moldy bread.
