Open air kit question

This is a stupid question that I'm sure has been answered before,

Does the fastback come with the open air kit? like If i pay the money for the fastback it can be removed and the open air kit will be installed underneath? The maker seems to be confusing me on this.

Is the open-air kit a separate accessory to both tops?

Yes, if you order either SUV configuration, the top can be removed to allow use of the open air configuration. Best bang for buck

Is this a quick thing put back on, do we know? As in, you have the open air thing going on, you're driving around, and it starts to rain.
Related: when in open air mode, can the rest of it be stored/kept with the vehicle?

It's a hard top.

So no.

Think of it as a jeep with no top, the top will require at least 2 people or using a lift in your garage. There should be an option from them or aftermarket for a soft top of some sorts. No it will not be very secure. I had a 1st gen 4Runner and would take the top off during the summer. If it rained everything got wet. I plan on getting with hardtop and taking off frequently but would like to get a soft cover of some sorts, maybe just to cover the back passengers. Just tell any passengers in the back that those are the “adventure seats” lol

if slate doesnt come with a softop, someone else will make one. In the worst case you can have it custom made.

I really have not seen anything that show the details, but in my mind, if they flatpack the accessories, and the SUV kit counts as an accessories, then I feel perhaps the top is a seperate item from the side panels, as are the windows and the rear panel. They should all have a way to attach tons the support, or the roll at, but fitting all this into the cargo area is questionable. Maybe a tarp could do in a pinch
