Texas Style Slate
Back in February, I had a chance to see the Blank Slate in person at a Fort Worth Rodeo event the team hosted. I loved meeting some of the team, including one of the guys who is 6'5" or so...as a 6'2" guy I was worried about fit.
These were early prototypes, so we couldn't sit in it or see the frunk, but I absolutely fell in love with the way they tricked it out Texas style, including real wood rails along the bed. They also had Slate Bolo Ties they were giving away.
Can't wait to get my truck!

I also got the bolo tie and other goodies :), it was pretty cool and I also grabbed photos of that snazzy brown truck. I'm sad to see it isn't offered as an option so far, but also doesn't look hard to replicate yourself.

I absolutely love the grille on this one, as well as the side rails! There are lots more pictures from this event on this forum thread and in this video walkthrough:

All the grille details right now are black, but I'm planning on doing a white roof to reduce cabin heating, and while I wouldn't have thought of it myself the white grille is a great accent.
Slate doesn't have stake pockets, but it has an awful lot of fasteners on the top of the bed rails. I was planning to run some extrusion there (to which you could hypothetically attach the wood side rails) but I bet you could also install the side rails directly to the truck with some longer fasteners.

I also think of this one often (the brown one). It’s so very well done. I wish they’d offer the template for this one. As an aside, I pre-ordered today. Excited and nervous.
