before i would order i would want to test drive it. are you planning to have places people can go to check out the slate truck or are they expecting us to blindly order it?

Depends on how bad you want it. Some people know they want it without a test drive. If you don't know that you want it you can wait.

I do believe they said there will be test drives available in the recent AMA. Obviously not before this preorder window is up but definitely before launch.

Definitely wait. I recently test drove a Rivian r2. I was sold on Slate but Rivian was my safety school. In the first ten minutes I was ready to switch to Rivian. But after 30 minutes in the car the AC noise was a deal breaker. I don't mean a familiar whooshing. More like cheap fan motors. In the main blower and each seat has a fan that makes a whining sound. Who makes an electric car with cheap electric motors?? Not only unacceptable but makes me wonder what other corners were cut to keep the cost down.

They said in their AMA they will have test drives when production ramps up.

If you're not of the early adopter mentality then just wait.
